Several groups and organizations are conducting campaigns to end torture by the U.S. government. This page will be updated with the most recent campaigns as we learn about them.
Stop torture and ill-treatment in the “war on terror”, Amnesty International . This campaign includes writing to President Bush urging him for an investigation and prosecution of torture.
UUSC STOP (Stop Torture Permanently) Campaign, Universalist Unitarian Service Committee. The Campaign includes petition drive, letter to the editor, telephone call-in campaign, mock trial and citizens' indictment .
Shut Down Guantanamo: United for Peace and Justice.
Call for a Special Prosecutor to Investigate U.S. Torture, The Center for Constitutional Rights. This Campaign includes activities such as Guantánamo Reading Project , petition to tell your representatives to shut down Guantánamo (Pdf format), Send an email to your Representative telling them to shut down Guantánamo and Call on the German Federal Prosecutor to Investigate Rumsfeld and Other U.S. Officials for War Crimes at Abu Ghraib.
Campaign Against Torture: Rabbis for Human Rights (RHR).It includes Rabbinic Letter to President Bush and Members of Congress and Interfaith Letter to Senate Judiciary Committee.
