Welcome
For
ninety years The Fellowship of Reconciliation
(FOR) has carried on programs and
educational projects concerned with domestic and
international
peace and justice, nonviolent alternatives to conflict,
and interfaith coalition building. FOR began in 1914
through a handshake between a British Quaker and
German
Lutheran who vowed to continue their friendship and
to resist war with the power of love and truth. Over
that time FOR has partnered with a host of friends
and affiliates in the peace and justice movement
to
become the oldest and largest interfaith peace organization
in the United States. As a part of this year's Conference,
FOR will launch the celebration of its 90th anniversary
by inviting old and new FOR
friends
to
join us.
If you
are unable to attend, please feel free to make a
symbolic
donation of $90 or any amount.
Most of all,
let us rejoice together in the fellowship of peace.
