Sami Awad is the Executive Director of Holy Land Trust in Bethlehem.

Mr. Awad is one of the leading Palestinian advocates for nonviolent
resistance to the Israeli occupation of the West Bank and Gaza.

As part of its work towards peace and reconciliation in the region, the Holy Land Trust conducts training workshops in nonviolence and democracy for Palestinians. It conducts trauma-reduction programs to help Palestinian children cope with the violence that they experience every day.

The Holy Land Trust also organizes a Travel Encounter program in the West Bank that caters to pilgrims and those interested in fact-finding missions to the occupied Palestinian Territories. These programs are not tourist packages, but designed to bring as much awareness as possible of the situation in Palestine and the Middle East.

Sami Awad conducts frequent speaking tours in the United states and other countries.
